What Is Available
Living Abundantly
According to God's Word
Read Time: 7 Minutes
It is crucial to know what is available from God if we would like to tap into the resources of the more than abundant life. You cannot claim promises in God's Word if you do not know they are there. We must learn what is and is not available according to God's Word. When we ask God for things we must know that they are available, otherwise we ask amiss. We exercise this principle all of the time in the secular world. If rice was not available you could ask for it repeatedly but you wouldn't get it. If you did not know this teaching was available you couldn't read it. The same is true in God's Word. We must find out what is available spiritually in order to manifest the more than abundant life.
Let us find out what is available:
III John
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper
and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Since God's Word is His will, what is God's will here? His will is for us to prosper and to be in health. We all know what it is to prosper; to do well, be in the black, have all the bases covered, have our needs met with enough to give. But the word 'prosper' is more than that. It is to be led in a good way, to be guided in the right direction. God never meant for His people to be sick, poverty-stricken, and adrift. It is not a glory to God for His people to be sick, without purpose, and poor. He never meant for His people to be full of fear and anxiety. He would have us prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers. How are we to prosper and be in health if it is not available?
Here is another great example:
Philippians 4
:19 But my God shall supply all your need
according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
If we did not know that God could supply all of our needs than we wouldn't receive them. Now, He said need not greed. It stands to reason here that a supply must be available for us. Otherwise God couldn't provide it.
II Corinthians 9
:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you;
that ye, always having all sufficiency in
all things,
may abound to every good work:
Can we have sufficiency in all things if it is not available? God has promised sufficiency in all things so that we can abound to every good work. It must be available.
John 10
:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly.
The few promises that I mentioned here are a part of having life and having it more abundantly.
Romans 8
:37 . . .in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that
loved us.
More than conquerors! He said we are more than conquerors, not just conquerors, but more than conquerors. It must be available. If being more than a conqueror wasn't available we couldn't believe it and exercise the power to act on it.
Do you notice a trend here. God is not interested in His kids just getting by, He wants to supply over and above what we ask or think.
Ephesians 3
:16 That he would grant you,
according to the riches of his glory,
to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner
man;
It must be possible to be strengthened with might in the inner man. How could this happen if it were not available?
Ephesians 3
:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;
that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the
breadth,
and length, and depth, and height;
:19 And to know the love of Christ,
which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly
above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
This is rich. Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith (believing) so that, while being rooted and grounded in love, we may be able to comprehend, to perceive outwardly, what is the breadth and length and depth and height and experientially know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that, the reason being, we might be filled, filled to capacity, with all the fullness of God. If this is not available we cannot have it. We cannot know the love of Christ and be filled with the fullness of God if it is not available. He does all this and he does it exceeding abundantly.
To God be the glory.
Ephesians 3
:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages,
world without end. Amen.
There are hundreds of promises in God's Word and we cannot have them unless we know they are available. In our endeavor to live a more than abundant life according to God's Word we must find out what is available. We must find out what God wants us to do. If we are ignorant of His promises than we cannot claim them and see them come to pass in our lives. If you didn't know you had $1,000 in the bank you couldn't use it. The same is true spiritually. If you don't know what is available you cannot use it.
The only place that we are going to find out what is available from God is to go God and His Word. God's will is written in His Word and that is where we are going to find the resources to live a more than abundant life.
People may say that God does this or doesn't do that but we must check this against the Word of God. People will say that God will do things that He does not do. They may also say that He doesn't do certain things. The only way we are going to know for sure, and tap the resources for the more abundant life, is to go to God's Word.
We must find out what is available from God's Word so that we are not destroyed by a lack of knowledge. When we go to God's Word we are drinking from the fountain of living waters. When we learn the keys and principles that God has set in His Word and believe them we will manifest a more than abundant life; we will manifest the greatness of the power of God. Others will see and believe as well. That is why we need to find out what is available in God's Word.
